Ekwedike’s Right of Reply To The Unfactual Gibberish Spewed By Otti In His Smear Campaign Againt Me To Silence Opposition | #NwokeukwuMascot

Opinion   1. Obinna Oriaku served as Commissioner for Finance in Abia State from 2015 to 2019, during the first term of Okezie Ikpeazu. Ekwedike served on a pro bono basis, as Abia State never paid his salary; instead, it was First Bank that covered his remuneration since he was on secondment for the four years he served. The Abia State Government, through the then SSG, Eme Okoro, formally wrote to First Bank of Nigeria (FBN) requesting his services as a seasoned public sector banker and administrator that has done well with successive governments in Enugu State (copy attached). We carry receipts.  He ensured a reduction in what his predecessor was entitled to for FAAC meetings in Abuja, cutting it from ₦1.6 million to ₦500,000, whereas under the “New Abia”, it stands at ₦10 million. Due to the recession of that era and indeed until 2019 when he left Executive Council allowances were reduced from ₦1 million to ₦500,000. We remain proud of the sacrificial leadership and ...

Opinion   EXPOSITORY: Fraudulent Duplication of Primary Health Care (PHC) Projects in Abia State and the Need for an Investigation – Obinna Oriaku | #NwokeukwuMascot On Friday, February 21st, I alluded to the discovery of systemic fraud in public procurement by the Abia State Government and promised to provide more details this week. As expected, Otti’s media aides launched a shallow attack against me, targeting the administration I served from 2015 to 2019, as though I were the Governor. I remain proud of my period of service, as many significant achievements were made despite challenging economic circumstances two recession periods from 2015 to 2017. With the state’s FAAC and JAAC allocations at N4.3 billion monthly then, and now at N20 billion, Governor Otti’s profligacy will only lead to further mismanagement. My response aims to educate the public on the fundamental distinctions between a World Bank project and state-run initiatives, as seen in Abia. Recently, one of O...

Speaking in Umuahia, the Abia State capital, during a birthday event attended by Governor Otti, Wabara maintained that his commitment and support to Governor Alex Otti is above party membership. His words: “Since they have suspended me, they can go ahead and expel me from the party.
