The name of the culprit name is Sunday Muoghalu, he resides at Agu-Oye Umudioka, Awka he has confessed to be responsible for putting a 13 year - old girl in the family way. The 75 year - old suspect stated this in an interview in Awka when he was asked the reason behind such action. In his defense he said that he was only playing with the young girl and never intended to impregnate her. The young mother is currently in a safe place as the suspect will be arraigned in court for prosecution.

A Zimbabwean judge, Evans Zinzombe, has died by suicide in a church after killing his wife and raping her body  in the presence of their two children. According to iHarare on Saturday, the judge allegedly raped his wife's corpse in front of their children after strangling her to death on Wednesday. Zinzombe's body was later discovered hanging from the roof of a church in the Bulawayo suburb of Cowdray Park. "His body was found hanging from a metal roof truss at a local church in Cowdray Park," police said, confirming his death.

The Lagos Government under Governor Babjide Sanwo-Olu has authorised the immediate implementation of the policy in all schools in the state. This was contained in a circular released by the Lagos state Head of Service, Hakeem Muri-Okunola on Monday, December 5, 2022. The circular was copied to relevant stakeholders, including the Deputy governor, Speaker of the House of, the Chief Judge of the state, Secretary to the State Government, Commissioners, Permanent Secretaries/ Tutors General, Local Government Chairmen, Teaching Service Commission Chairman, heads of tertiary institutions and Chairman, State Universal Basic Education Board. The Enugu State Police Command has arrested a 23-year-old native doctor, Odoh Emmanuel, who sh0t and killed his client while testing the gunshot protection charm he prepared for the deceased. Spokesperson of the command, DSP Daniel Ndukwe, who disclosed this in a statement on Tuesday, November 29, 2022, said the incident happened in Isi-Uzo Local Government Area of the state. According to the PPRO, the suspect shot the deceased, Onunze Benedict, with a locally-fabricated single-barreled gun in his shrine while testing the potency of the charm on him.

Spanish authorities finds three stowaways on the rudder of a ship  completed 11-day voyage from Nigeria. A picture gotten from coastguard shows the men on the rudder of an oil tanker helm, and their feet less than a metre away from the water. They were later taken to the hospital at Gran Canaria, treating them of moderate dehydration. The story is still sketchy as no one knows if the really spent 11 days in the rudder. The Maltese-flagged Althini II arrived from Las Palmas, Gran Canaria, from Nigeria capital Lagos - one journey of more than 2,700 nautical miles - according to data gotten from the maritime tracking websites collect. The Federal Government has unveiled the redesigned naira notes to the public. It was unveiled at the Federal Executive Council meeting presided over by President Muhammadu Buhari a few minutes ago. The Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele warned Nigerians against hoarding of the old notes, saying there is no going back on the January 31st 2023 deadline to completely render the old notes useless. The redesigned notes are in denomination of N1000, N500 and N200.

The Arewa Youth Consultative Forum, AYCF, has highlighted its next line of action if Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, is released. AYCF warned that it would demand compensation for Northerners killed and their properties destroyed in the Southeast if Kanu is released. According to the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), “in terms of the proportion of poverty and its intensity, the poorest states included Sokoto, Bayelsa, Jigawa, Kebbi, Gombe, and Yobe.“ The multidimensional Poverty Index (MPI) survey report released yesterday measured deprivations related to education, health, living standard, work and security shows Abia State among the top 5 best states in Nigeria. According to a report in Punch newspaper  of 18th November, 2022. “The NBS report further showed Sokoto, Bayelsa, Gombe, Jigawa and Plateau are the top poorest states in 2022. “Sokoto leads the poorest with 90.5 per cent of people in the state poor. It is followed by Bayelsa with 88.5 per cent poor people, Gombe with 86.2 per cent, Jigawa with 84.3 per cent, and Plateau with 84 per cent.  The least poor states are Ondo with 27.2 percent poor people, Lagos with 29.4 percent, Abia 29.8 percent, Edo with 31 percent, and Anambra with 32.1 percent.”

Mohammad Ghalayini, a former police officer in London, have been sentenced to 22 months in prison for stealing £80 from a lost wallet that was turned in to police. According to BBC, Ghalayini was convicted of theft and perverting the course of justice after a member of the police force reported the missing cash in September and was thereafter jailed in October. Atiku Abubakar The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar has reiterated his position to privatise several capital projects in a bid to take the financial burden off the Federal Government. Atiku said this on Wednesday during a meeting with the Nigerian Guild of Editors in Lagos State. “If you see the amount of work the government has to do in this country, like building and rebuilding our ports, constructing our railway lines, building our highways – let me borrow Dokpesi’s word – it is a ‘humongous’ amount of money that you require. You know that the government doesn’t have it,” he said. “I would rather concession most of this to the private sector and give them tax breaks. They invest, recover their money and we will have development, progress, jobs, and prosperity.”
