Over 18 govs working for Obi, says Ohanaeze.

The apex Igbo socio-cultural organisation, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, has said about 18 state governors across party lines are currently working behind the scene for the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi. It, however, did not name the state governors. The group’s Secretary-General, Okechukwu Isiguzoro, disclosed this in a statement on Wednesday. He said, “As we speak, about 18 governors from the North and South, cutting across party lines, are behind the scenes putting up structures for Obi to be the winner of the 2023 presidential election. Aba Million March: ‘Obidient’ group Adopts Gov Ikpeazu.

The ‘Obidient’ group advocating for the election of the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Mr. Peter Obi, in Aba, Abia state has adopted Governor Okezie Ikpeazu as their candidate for the Abia South senatorial position in the 2023 election. The ‘’one Million March for ObiDatti”, which brought activities in Aba, to a stand still,  began from the Osisioma  Ngwa flyover from where the crowd marched through Aba-Owerri Road, Asa Road, Factory Road, Azikiwe Road and down to the Ogbor-Hill axis of the city. The group who stated this during the one million march held for Obi, Saturday, in Aba, explained that with the way things are currently going on in the country, it has decided to support candidates with vision like Obi and Ikpeazu, despite the party differences. Supporters of the Labour Party, LP, Presidential Candidate Peter Obi on Saturday,October 1st, 2022 organized a million man march in Aba, commercial city of Abia State. The solidarity walk kicked off at Osisioma junction, Aba at about 9AM, attracting a mammoth crowd. The peaceful walk themed; “Abia Million Man March for Peter Obi“, was attended by mostly the youths as they vowed to vote for Obi come next year’s presidential election. Mr Peter Obi, a former Anambra State governor and a well established businessman has garnered organic support from mostly the Nigerian youths. The million man march has been organized in almost all parts of the country. In a similar style, Lagos, AkwaIbom, Gombe, Delta and Benin had a peaceful March in solidarity to Obi today.

Presidential Candidate of Labour Party (LP) Peter Obi has promised to end insecurity,  poverty and unemployment in Nigeria if elected in 2023. Obi made the promise at a rally organised by the Middle  Belt Forum on Thursday in Jos. The LP candidate, who also promised to address hunger, unemployment and corruption, said that he would promote quality of education at all levels and improve power supply. ”If you elect me as your president,  I will end provide security at all levels so that our people can go to farm and by so doing, the issue of food insecurity and hunger will be a thing of the past. ”We will create jobs for our teeming unemployed youth and end poverty. One Million March: Court rules against occupying Lekki Toll-Gate.

The Labour Party’s #ObiDatti23 Forward Ever Rally scheduled to be held on October 1, 2022, suffered a setback on Wednesday as a Federal High Court sitting in Lagos ordered the party and its supporters not to converge on the Lekki Toll-Gate. The court ruled that supporters of the Labour Party can pass through the Toll-Gate for its rally but must not converge on the facility. Presiding Judge, Justice Daniel Osiagor, also directed the Inspector-General of Police, Usman Baba, and the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Abiodun Alabi, to ensure compliance with the order. Justice Osiagor made the order on Wednesday while ruling on a Motion for Injunction brought by 10 plaintiffs, including nine lawyers, who are asking the court to, among others, restrain the LP, its presidential candidate, Peter Obi, his running mate, Yusuf Baba-Ahmed, one Julius Abure and their loyalists from holding the rally.
