Media Aide to Abia House of Rep Member Resigns Over Nonpayment of Allowances.

Comr O. P. Ifeanyichukwu, the media adviser to Hon Abonta Nkem Uzuoma, member representing Ukwa federal constituency at the House of Representatives. Mr Ifeanyichukwu, The aggrieved media adviser notified the house member in a letter which was made public via his social media handle(@IFECO4GOD) The letter partly reads, “ This letter is to notify to that I would no longer be able to serve you, or fulfill my duties as your Media Adviser effective from today, 9th of October 2022, because of none payment of salaries.” Read Letter Below 👇🏾 

Gov Ikpeazu to battle Abaribe for Senate seat as INEC releases full list.

Only three female candidates made the list out of the 33 Abia senatorial candidates listed for the state. Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State and a former governor of the state, Orji Kalu, have made the final list of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, for the 2023 senatorial contest in Abia. While Mr Ikpeazụ was listed as candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for Abia South; Mr Kalu, currently the Chief Whip of the Senate, was named as the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for Abia North. Also, a former Minority Leader of the Senate, Enyinnaya Abaribe, was listed as the All Progressives Grand Alliance, (APGA) candidate for Abia South while Mao Ohuabunwa was named PDP candidate for Abia North. This indicates that Governor Ikpeazu will battle his former ally, Mr Abaribe, for the Abia South Senate seat currently held by the latter. TRAGEDY: Confusion In Abia Community As Erosion Site Swallows 2-Storey Building, 4-Bedroom Bungalow.

Aboriginals of  Amaewu, Umueze, Amamba Uzoakoli in Bende local government of Abia State now live in panic following a gully erosion site which has defied all solutions after several millions of Naira was expended in tackling it. Speaking with ABN TV Friday, the member representing Bende South constituency in Abia State House of Assembly, Hon. Emmanuel Chinedu Ndubuisi said an indigene of the community living overseas has lost his 2-storey building to the erosion despite making frantic efforts to bring it under control. The lawmaker also added that the community has consistently made efforts to change the course of the gully site to no avail, leading to the collapse of another 4-bedroom bungalow. According to him, he reached out to the NEWMAP who came and gave their expert advise, a step that has been followed but the gully still persists. Governor Ikpeazu of Abia state, has advised the federal government to have a dialogue with the IPOB leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. The governor told the Muhammadu Buhari led central government that it cannot win a battle of conscience through the court, Governor Ikpeazu who said he may not be Kanu's fan reiterated that his points about the alleged marginalisation of Igbo should be looked into. In his words,  “The federal government needs to sit down and discuss with Nnamdi Kanu and ask what can we do. We can stay at the table to listen to what he is saying.  "You can’t win a battle of conscience through the court. Do we need Nnamdi Kanu to tell us that there is no Igbo in the hierarchy of service chiefs in Nigeria?  "Do we need Nnamdi Kanu to tell us that Ndigbo is marginalized in Nigeria?  “Do we need Nnamdi Kanu to tell us that rice that was sold for N10k, now goes for N40k?"
