A question, 'Where is Tinubu?’ is trending on Twitter as tweeps wonder about the whereabouts of the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu. The trend which blew up on Thursday has garnered thousands of tweets as of the time of filing this report. This question comes as the APC postponed its campaign council inauguration indefinitely while other political parties started their campaigns officially on Wednesday.  Popular activist, Aisha Yesufu tweeted, “My stance has never wavered and I pray to God it doesn’t. I am interested in Nigeria not the leaders. They are there to serve us. Where is Tinubu is trending. 2023: Northern Elders’ Forum gives Obi, Tinubu, Atiku conditions.

The Northern Elders Forum on Sunday night says it will subject candidates of various political parties seeking the votes of the north to a rigorous interrogation exercise until they are convinced about who has the capacity to fix the country. This clarification was made by NEF Spokesman, Dr Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, when he appeared on ‘Politics Today,’ a popular programme on Channels Television. Baba-Ahmed stated that the northern elders made a terrible mistake in 2015 when they charged the people to cede their bloc votes to the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.) without requesting his blueprint. He said, “We will subject all candidates including Atiku, Tinubu, Obi through a rigorous process and they had better be willing because, believe me, we carry the responsibility on our shoulders to advise people in the north where to go. Gov Ikpeazu to battle Abaribe for Senate seat as INEC releases full list.

Only three female candidates made the list out of the 33 Abia senatorial candidates listed for the state. Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State and a former governor of the state, Orji Kalu, have made the final list of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, for the 2023 senatorial contest in Abia. While Mr Ikpeazụ was listed as candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for Abia South; Mr Kalu, currently the Chief Whip of the Senate, was named as the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for Abia North. Also, a former Minority Leader of the Senate, Enyinnaya Abaribe, was listed as the All Progressives Grand Alliance, (APGA) candidate for Abia South while Mao Ohuabunwa was named PDP candidate for Abia North. This indicates that Governor Ikpeazu will battle his former ally, Mr Abaribe, for the Abia South Senate seat currently held by the latter.
