Obasa Declares Return as Lagos Assembly Speaker(VIDEO) | #NwokeukwuMascot

The ousted Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa, has announced his return to office, declaring that he has resumed his role as Speaker.




Obasa made this declaration on Tuesday, February 27, upon his arrival at the Assembly complex, marking his first appearance since his impeachment on January 13.




“I’ve resumed, and I remain the Speaker of the Assembly,” he asserted after arriving at the complex under the escort of police officers and operatives of the State Security Service.




Obasa was impeached on January 13 by an overwhelming majority of lawmakers, who subsequently elected Mojisola Lasbat Meranda as the first female Speaker of the Lagos Assembly.
