The Chairman of the House Committee on Public Service in the Abia State House of Assembly, Hon. Erondu Uchenna Erondu Jnr, has called on his constituents to remain steadfast in their support for the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).




Speaking yesterday during the commissioning of PDP offices across the six wards of Obingwa-West State Constituency, Erondu Jnr emphasized that the PDP remains the only grassroots-oriented party committed to the welfare of women, youths, and men alike.







The former Chairman of Obingwa Local Government Area decried the poor state of rural roads in Abia State and announced plans to commence the grading of rural roads within his constituency this week. He noted that the initiative aims to boost socio-economic activities and foster development at the grassroots level.





Congratulating those who emerged victorious in the recently concluded PDP congresses, the lawmaker urged them to exhibit selfless commitment toward rebuilding the party. He also appealed to party members dissatisfied with the congress outcomes to set aside their grievances and support the PDP, expressing confidence in the party’s ability to reclaim victory in 2027.






Erondu Jnr thanked his constituents for their unrelenting support, pledging to continue leveraging every opportunity to deliver the dividends of democracy to the people.




Meanwhile, the PDP Chairman of Obingwa Local Government Area, Hon. Ahamefula Egbulefu, commended the lawmaker for fulfilling his campaign promises, describing him as a leader who genuinely understands the needs of his people. He also expressed gratitude for the newly established party offices, reaffirming that the PDP remains the dominant party in Obingwa.





Hon. Chidiebere Ihenyeremadu, Director-General of the IGODO IGWE Campaign Council, praised Erondu Jnr for his impressive performance over the past 19 months, stating that the people of Obingwa-West do not regret electing him in 2023.




In their separate remarks, the PDP Woman Leader for Obingwa LGA, Mrs. Ijeoma Ngozi, and the  Ward three PDP Chairman, Barr. Henry Chigozie Moses, who spoke on behalf of other ward party chairmen lauded the lawmaker for his consistent support for his constituents, particularly the less privileged, during these challenging economic times. They prayed for God’s continued blessings and preservation for him and his family.





A notable highlight of the event was the award of a full scholarship by Hon. Erondu Jnr to Miss Light Emeka, an indigent child from Obingwa Ward Six. The scholarship will cover her education from primary school to university level.




The event highlighted Erondu Jnr’s commitment to the PDP and his constituents, reaffirming his dedication to grassroots development and party unity.
