Enugu State is set to host His Excellency, President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on a state visit scheduled for tomorrow. The visit, which promises to be a significant milestone for the state, will see the President commissioning several transformative projects that underscore the state government’s commitment to development and progress.

The announcement of the visit was made public via Governor Peter Mbah’s official Facebook handle, where he expressed excitement about the upcoming event.

Among the projects to be inaugurated are the Enugu Smart Green Schools, a groundbreaking initiative aimed at enhancing education infrastructure across the state. Of the 260 schools currently under construction in various wards, 30 have been completed and fully equipped, reflecting the administration’s resolve to prioritize quality education for all.

In the healthcare sector, the state has achieved a milestone with the completion of 60 Type 2 Primary Healthcare Centres, part of a larger project involving 260 such facilities. These centers are designed to provide accessible and efficient healthcare services to residents, particularly in underserved communities.

President Tinubu will also commission the state-of-the-art Enugu International Conference Centre, a multi-auditorium facility poised to position Enugu as a premier destination for international events and conferences. Additionally, the President will unveil 90 newly completed urban roads, which are expected to significantly improve transportation and connectivity within the state.

In a bid to enhance security, the state government has established a cutting-edge Command and Control Centre, equipped with artificial intelligence-embedded surveillance cameras and supported by 150 patrol vehicles. This initiative aims to bolster safety and security, fostering an environment conducive to investment and growth.

Speaking about the visit, Governor Mbah described it as a testament to a shared vision for progress and development. “This visit is a reflection of our collective efforts to transform Enugu State into a hub of innovation, safety, and opportunity,” he said.

The President’s visit is expected to further strengthen federal-state collaboration, highlighting Enugu State’s strides in infrastructure, education, healthcare, and security. Residents and stakeholders eagerly anticipate the event, which marks a new chapter in the state’s journey toward sustainable development.
