Recall we had earlier reports that Tinubu was visiting Enugu to commission landmark projects of Governor Peter Mbah’s led administration.

The visit marks a significant occasion for Enugu, as President Tinubu is set to commission several transformative projects initiated and completed by the state government under Governor Mbah’s administration. These projects are a testament to the state’s strides in education, healthcare, infrastructure, and security.

Among the key projects slated for commissioning are the Enugu Smart Green Schools, with 30 fully completed and equipped institutions out of the 260 under construction across various wards. This initiative underscores the state’s commitment to enhancing education infrastructure and providing quality learning environments for students.

In the healthcare sector, the President will unveil 60 completed Type 2 Primary Healthcare Centres, part of a larger project involving 260 facilities designed to improve access to healthcare services across the state.

The President’s itinerary also includes the commissioning of the Enugu International Conference Centre, a world-class multi-auditorium facility set to position Enugu as a hub for international events and business engagements. Additionally, 90 newly completed urban roads will be inaugurated, a development expected to significantly improve transportation and urban connectivity.

Highlighting the state’s focus on security, President Tinubu will also commission the Command and Control Centre, a cutting-edge facility equipped with artificial intelligence-embedded surveillance systems and supported by 150 patrol vehicles. This initiative aims to enhance public safety and create an environment conducive to investment and growth.

Governor Peter Mbah, who announced the President’s visit via his official Facebook handle, described the occasion as a “testament to the shared vision of progress and development” between the federal and state governments.

Residents and stakeholders have expressed excitement about the President’s visit, viewing it as a recognition of Enugu State’s achievements and a catalyst for further development. The visit underscores the collaborative efforts between the federal and state governments in fostering growth and improving the quality of life for citizens.

The projects to be commissioned during this visit are expected to leave a lasting impact on the state, reinforcing its position as a beacon of progress and innovation in the South East region.
