Abia State – Prominent leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Abia State, including former Governor Okezie Ikpeazu, the Chairman of the PDP Board of Trustees, Senator Adolphus Wabara; Senator Austin Akobundu; and Chief Okey Ahiwe, gathered alongside other party faithful to pay their last respects to the late Elder Dr. Emmanuel Onyemaobi Adaelu, a revered elder statesman and distinguished member of the Abia PDP Elders Forum.
The funeral, which drew dignitaries, party members, and community leaders, was a solemn occasion to honor Elder Dr. Adaelu’s enduring legacy as a symbol of leadership, wisdom, and selfless service.
In his moving tribute, Elder Abraham Amah, the Abia PDP Chairman, described Elder Dr. Adaelu as a leader whose life embodied hope, dedication, and unwavering commitment to service. “Elder Dr. Emmanuel Adaelu was more than just a leader; he was a symbol of hope and a guiding light during moments of uncertainty. His legacy will continue to inspire generations,” Amah stated.
Also present at the event were the Senator representing Abia South, Enyinnaya Abaribe; Speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emmanuel Emeruwa; Senator Nkechi Nwogu; and Rt. Hon. C.O. Enweremmadu. Their attendance underscored the late statesman’s far-reaching influence and his impact on both the party and the state.
The funeral served as a unifying moment for Abia PDP leaders and members, who came together to celebrate the life of a man widely regarded as a pillar of wisdom, humility, and resilience.
