Umuahia — Following his recent victory as the Chairman of the Abia State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Elder Abraham Amah has extended heartfelt thanks to the PDP National Working Committee (NWC), delegates, party members, and stakeholders for their support. Elder Amah, who emerged as chairman through a transparent and peaceful congress, pledged to foster unity and cooperation within the party to secure a prosperous future for the PDP in Abia State.
In a statement titled, “Thank You Statement” released shortly after his election, Elder Amah described his new role as both an honor and a testament to the trust placed in him by party delegates. “I am filled with gratitude and humility having been overwhelmingly elected as the Chairman of the Abia State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party. This honor is not just a personal achievement; it is a testament to the faith and trust you have placed in me,” he partly stated.
The statement reads in full, “Dear Delegates, Party Members, and Esteemed Stakeholders, I am filled with gratitude and humility having been overwhelmingly elected as the Chairman of the Abia State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). This honor is not just a personal achievement; it is a testament to the faith and trust you have placed in me. I sincerely thank each and every delegate for your kind consideration of my person.
“As we embark on this journey together, I promise to uphold the values and ideals of our founding fathers, ensuring that we engage in robust and constructive dialogue with all stakeholders. It is through unity and collaboration that we will strengthen our party and advance the cause of the PDP in Abia State.
“I would also like to take a moment to salute all our stakeholders, whose commitment has been invaluable in our efforts to rebuild and strengthen our party. Your dedication does not go unnoticed. To my fellow aspirants who contested alongside me, I salute your courage and commitment to rebranding Abia PDP. Your sacrifices and efforts in rebuilding our party shall not be in vain, and I commend the spirit of sportsmanship that you all showcased.
“I invite you all to join me in the daunting yet rewarding task of returning the Abia PDP to power in our great state. The challenges ahead may seem herculean, but I firmly believe that, together, we can surmount them. Our collective efforts will undoubtedly reinvigorate our party and set us on the path to success.
“I extend my heartfelt appreciation to the PDP National Working Committee for conducting an exceptionally peaceful and transparent State Congress here in Abia. I also commend the INEC officials who diligently monitored the process, ensuring its integrity.
“Moreover, I would like to express our gratitude to the Abia State Commissioner of Police and the State Director of the Department of State Services for deploying capable officers who ensured our safety throughout this process. Above all, I am profoundly grateful to God Almighty for His grace and for granting me this rare opportunity to serve the Peoples Democratic Party.
“I cannot fail to express my gratitude to my former government teacher Sir SK Orie Awah PhD, who painstakingly served as my agent throughout the process. My special thanks also go to my dear wife, Lady Beatrice Amah, for being a strong pillar of support.
