In a compassionate response to the challenges faced by a resident, Hon. Ugochukwu Iheonunekwu (OCHAKE), representing the Isiala Ngwa North State Constituency in the Abia State House of Assembly, has pledged his support to Mrs. Favour Alozie, a mother of three who recently came to public attention while performing menial jobs in Umuahia to sustain her family.
Mrs. Alozie, originally from Ntigha Umukalu in Isiala Ngwa North Local Government Area, has faced significant hardship since her husband, Mr. Emeka Alozie from Anambra State, abandoned her and their children four months ago. His absence left her solely responsible for their livelihood, and the family’s limited income forced her children out of school.
Moved by her situation, Hon. Iheonunekwu pledged to help Mrs. Alozie establish a small business, providing her with a sustainable source of income. Additionally, he committed to covering her children’s school fees to ensure they could return to school, offering a crucial lifeline for the family.
“As leaders, we have a duty to lift those who feel unseen and unheard. Mrs. Alozie’s resilience is inspiring, and I am committed to helping her find stability for her family,” Hon. Iheonunekwu said while pledging his support. “Supporting her in starting a business and ensuring her children return to school isn’t just assistance—it’s an investment in her future and in the strength of our community.”
This gesture highlights Hon. Iheonunekwu’s dedication to women’s empowerment and the welfare of families within his constituency. His commitment to supporting constituents in need exemplifies a compassionate approach to governance, with a particular focus on uplifting women and families facing hardship.
