In a powerful display of his dedication to grassroots development, Hon. Dennis Rowland Chinwendu, member representing the Isiala Ngwa South State Constituency in the Abia State House of Assembly, has breathed new life into the Umuagu Primary Community School through a comprehensive renovation.
This project, a cornerstone of his efforts to uplift his constituency, perfectly aligns with the Peoples Democratic Party's (PDP) commitment to improving education and community well-being.
The transformation of Umuagu Primary Community School is nothing short of remarkable. Once a crumbled structure that left parents and teachers alike concerned for the safety of their children, the school now stands as a beacon of hope and renewal. The before-and-after photos tell a story of progress, showing the incredible difference that focused leadership can make.
Residents of Umuagu have not held back their appreciation. Mrs. Nneka Okezie, a trader , couldn’t contain her gratitude: "It feels like a miracle. We had lost hope that anything could be done about the school. Now, when I drop my children off, I know they are in a safe place where they can actually focus on learning. Hon. Chinwendu has given us something we didn’t think was possible."
Chief Ugochukwu Eze, a respected elder in the community, echoed this sentiment, praising the lawmaker's hands-on approach: "This renovation is more than just a building project; it's a promise kept. Hon. Chinwendu has shown that he is not just a man of words but of action. Our community is coming alive again, and this school is just the beginning."
Another resident who is a popular journalist, Anastasia Odochi Uchenna - Ozoemena took to Facebook and posted: “I saw these Pictures and video on Facebook and my eyes popped š³š³ It is Umuagu community primary school in Isialangwa South. I have never been a fan of Hon Roland C. the member representing Isialangwa South.
“He has never wronged me. But because PDP shut my friend Dannie ubani out because of him, I transfer the beef for em head ššThat's one thing about me. I am Loyal to a fault. But in the midst of my Loyalty , I am not a sadist. When I see good, I talk about it. Oga Roland , this is actually beautiful.
“If other lawmakers will emulate this , schools in our villages will look beautiful and conducive. The former pictures are irritating and embarrassing. Thank you for this initiative. This is why I support local government autonomy. Governors need to allow the rural areas to develop. Infrastructures and rural roads are in total decadence. We need a departure! Weldone Hon Roland” ššš
But Hon. Chinwendu’s vision for Isiala Ngwa South doesn’t stop here. He has three other major projects currently in the works, including a new market aimed at boosting local commerce. These initiatives, all nearing completion, reflect a deep understanding of the needs of his constituents and a commitment to ensuring that development reaches every corner of the constituency.
The ongoing projects have instilled a renewed sense of pride among the people of Isiala Ngwa South. These efforts are more than just infrastructure improvements—they symbolize the tangible benefits of having a representative who listens to and acts on the concerns of the people.
As these projects come to fruition, Hon. Chinwendu continues to strengthen his bond with the community, ensuring that their voices guide his actions. His work is a clear reflection of the PDP’s guiding principle: Power to the People.
The rejuvenation of Umuagu Primary Community School, along with the forthcoming projects, reflects the impact of responsive and people-centered governance. It serves as a powerful reminder that when leaders prioritize the needs of their communities, real progress follows. And in Isiala Ngwa South, that progress is unfolding right before our eyes.
