  Politics   File Image  Nyesom Wike,  minister of the federal capital territory (FCT), has warned governors elected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) against interfering in the affairs of the party in Rivers  state. Wike and Siminalayi Fubara, governor of Rivers, have been involved in a political tussle over the control of the state since 2023. The rift between both politicians has created two factions in the Rivers house of assembly — with each  camp electing a speaker   loyal to the minister and the governor. Wike  spoke at the PDP secretariat in Port Harcourt during the party’s state congress on Saturday. He was responding to a recent expression of support by the PDP Governors’ Forum in a communiqué issued in Jalingo, the capital of Taraba, for Fubara. The PDP governors also called for a review of the party congress outcome to restore Fubara’s leadership role in the state. NDLEA Issues Seven-day Ultimatum To Bayelsa Community 'To Return Stolen Pistol' | #NwokeukwuMascot

  News   File Image The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has given a seven-day ultimatum to Oduma community in Ogbia Local Government Area of Bayelsa State to return an allegedly stolen pistol belonging to the agency. The warning was given in a statement issued by NDLEA Public Relations Officer, Daniel Obah. It was learnt that no fewer than four NDLEA operatives were injured after being assaulted by some angry youths from the community on Wednesday.   News   File Image There was apprehension in Bayelsa State after four officials of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) were reportedly injured at Oruma community in the Ogbia Local Government Area of the state. The officials were said to be in search of drug peddlers in the community. The NDLEA operatives were said to have stormed the border community with Rivers State with the intention to arrest some drug peddlers when they were attacked by irate youths. According to the spokesperson of the state command of the NDLEA, Mr. Daniel Obah, who confirmed this in Yenagoa on Thursday, he said four of its men who were critically injured are still in the hospital receiving treatments.   Opinion   The Flag off of Ohafia / Arochukwu road has come and gone; My concerns by Mr Okpala Orji | #NwokeukwuMascot File Image As predicated, my concerns that brought about those exchanges just played out today at the flag off ceremony of the Ohafia-Arochukwu Expressway.  Gradually, this administration has become so predictable that you can hazard what they are scheming to achieve given their antecedents which is laced with deceit and Propaganda.  I was not surprised that two national television ChannelsTV and Arise TV were engaged for flag off of what should be  completion of 12Km road which was started since 2012 but turned to be 41.1km by the Governor and 44km by the Commissioner for works . You may ask what is my interest, beyond being an Abian, I am a member of APC whose government awarded the second contract in 2017/18 budget year to Heartland Ltd with contract number CN 6481, which the Government refused to disclose the details which  contains the longest stretch of that Oh
