We have also seen an upsurge in kidnapping, car jacking, armed robbery etc in different parts of the state. The situation does not bode well for our state.  My sincerest condolences to families of the victims of the Aba killings, the affected security agencies, the government and indeed the people of Abia State. We can only work and pray for the restoration of enduring normalcy in the state. While efforts of government to fight the ravaging insecurity must be appreciated, there is obviously room for more to be done to improve the situation. The Bayelsa Commissioner of Justice and Attorney-General in the suit numbered YHC/14C/2022 charged the accused with the offence of rape contrary to Section 1(1) of the Violence Against Persons (Prohibition) Law of Bayelsa State, 2021.
