…PDP Leadership in Isiala Ngwa South Dismisses Disintegration Rumors | #NwokeukwuMascot
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) stakeholders in Isiala Ngwa South local government area of Abia State have firmly denied circulating rumors about the party's collapse in the region.
During a gathering at Umuawuru Nvosi, the residence of Chief Patrick Onwuka, party leaders asserted that individuals wishing to leave the PDP are free to do so, emphasizing that the interests of a few do not represent the collective will of the party members.
Reaffirming Isiala Ngwa South's status as a PDP stronghold, they encouraged party loyalists to remain committed and resilient as the party undergoes a rebuilding phase. The stakeholders expressed confidence that the PDP would continue to thrive in the area, as it has historically.
They also pointed out the irony that many of those exiting the party had achieved their political prominence through the PDP. "Those leaving were the primary beneficiaries of the party," they noted. "They also played significant roles in sowing discord within the party, but we are grateful they have departed, and we wish them success in their future endeavors."
The meeting saw attendance from several prominent figures, including the former Speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Chikwendu Kalu, PDP Youth Leader of Abia State Hon. Patrick Onwuka, Isiala Ngwa South PDP Chairman Chief Edwin Ihejirika, former Commissioner for Housing Hon. Chinagorom Nwankpa, Hon. Tony Ururuka, former Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs Sir Gabriel Onyendilefu, Chief Ahuchaogu Uche Sampson, Nze B.O. Ahuruonye, and Hon. Chimereze Nwankwo, among others.
