Hardship: NLC Proceeds with Tomorrow Protest as Meeting with FG Ends Without Resolution | #NwokeukwuMascot

Despite a last-minute attempt by the Federal Government to prevent the nationwide protest organized by the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), the meeting ended in a deadlock.
Recall we had earlier reported about an emergency meeting between the labour union leaders and the federal government late yesterday.
The closed-door meeting included key government officials such as the Attorney-General of the Federation, Lateef Fagbemi (SAN), Ministers of Labour, Agriculture, Finance, Budget and Planning, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, the Head of Service, as well as representatives from the Nigeria Labour Congress and Trade Union Congress.
Following the meeting, NLC President Joe Ajaero confirmed that the protest would still take place on Tuesday.
"The rally will proceed as planned," Ajaero stated.
When questioned about the Department of State Services' advisory regarding the protest, he acknowledged their responsibility to ensure a peaceful rally. Ajaero reassured that the NLC would also make efforts to maintain peace during the event.
He further mentioned that their list of demands would be submitted to the National Assembly on Tuesday.
"We have finalized our plans. Our aim is not simply to hold rallies, but to present our demands. Tomorrow, when we present them at the National Assembly, journalists will receive a copy," Ajaero explained.
