The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has issued a strong warning to the Nigerian government, stating that if their leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, is harmed, the perpetrators and their families will face dire consequences. In a press release signed and released by Comrade Emma Powerful, the Media and Publicity Secretary for IPOB, dated January 24, 2024, IPOB dismissed claims made by Femi Adesina, a former aide to President Muhammadu Buhari, that arresting Kanu was a favor instead of an assassination attempt.

IPOB, rejected Adesina’s book, calling it “toilet paper” and stating that no one in their right mind would waste time or money on it. The group emphasized that Kanu is a formidable force, far surpassing Adesina and his masters. They also criticized the current Nigerian administration, claiming it to be the most despised in the nation’s history due to its lack of tangible development.

The press release also shed light on Adesina’s revelations in his book, where he disclosed that the previous government had planned to assassinate Kanu but opted for his arrest instead. IPOB expressed satisfaction that the government failed to carry out the assassination, citing previous attacks on Kanu’s family that resulted in the deaths of his parents.

IPOB accused Adesina of seeking praise from Nigerians by mentioning Kanu in his book. They clarified that Kanu was not arrested but rather kidnapped in Kenya, tortured for eight days, and illegally extradited to Nigeria by the Buhari government. Despite being discharged and acquitted by the Court of Appeal in Abuja, Kanu continues to face persecution and illegal detention by the current administration.

IPOB asserted that Kanu has legally triumphed over the Nigerian courts and has no charges against him. They argued that his persecution stems from his advocacy for a lawful Biafra self-determination movement’s referendum. The group warned that anyone contemplating harm against Kanu would face a brutal war, and all collaborators and their families, regardless of their place of residence, would be eliminated.

The state reads in full: “The global family and movement of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) ably led by the great and indefatigable leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu calls a bluff the claim from Femi Adesina that Mohammed Buhari did Mazi Nnamdi Kanu a favour by arresting him as opposed to their assassination plans. The murderous government of Late Buhari understood the consequences of eliminating Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.

“Femi Adesina wrote a book thinking that the mention of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu will sell his book and that revealing their secret plans against Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, Ndigbo, IPOB, and the Biafra struggle will be to his advantage. The book has turned into toilet paper. No sane person will spend their money or time to buy that book or read it. 

“Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is bigger than him and his masters. Without tangible development in Nigeria after eight years of govanance, they are unarguably the most hated administration in all of Nigeria's miserable existence. We are very happy that Adesina and his principal, Major General Muhammadu Buhari, retired, planned and failed in eliminating Mazi Nnamdi Kanu because they tried it during the time they attacked his father's compound that led to his mother's and father's deaths. 

“Femi Adesina thought that if he mentioned Mazi Nnamdi Kanu in his book, Nigerians would praise him. In his infamous book written as the aide of the former President of Nigeria, Late  Muhammadu Buhari, Femi Adesena disclosed that the murderous government of his late boss planned to assassinate Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, but his boss did Mazi Nnamdi KANU a favour by only just arresting him.  

“It's revealing that the former  aide to the former President, Femi Adesina, has exposed the devilish agenda of his principal in his book. We know that they have tried so many ways to eliminate Mazi Nnamdi Kanu without success.  It is good that the murderous government could not assassinate Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and are now confessing it. We assure the Nigeria government that they can not murder Mazi Nnamdi Kanu without consequences that will shake the foundation of their one Nigerian. 

“Femi Adesina, the lying machine for the terrorist sympathizer government of Late Mohammed Buhari, claimed in his book that Mazi Nnamdi Kanu was arrested and extradited to Nigeria to face trial in their court. To put the record straight, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu was not arrested but was kidnapped in Kenya, tortured for eight(8) days, and extraordinarily renditioned to Nigeria by the murderous government of late Mohammadu Buhari. Even when the Court of Appeal in Abuja discharged and acquitted Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the lawless government of Buhari refused to obey the judgment of the court. Moreover, the current APC government of Ahmad Tinubu has continued with the persecution and illegal detaintion of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. 

“IPOB wants Nigeria past and present governments to understand that Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has beat them legally in the Nigerian Courts. He has no charges against him. Mazi Kanu is being persecuted and detained extra judiciously for championing a lawful Biafra Self-Determination movement's referendum. Those who will contemplate eliminating him directly or indirectly should be ready for a brutal war. Should they dare, we promise all collaborators and their families that they will equally be eliminated irrespective of their country of residence. 

“The British criminal enterprise called Nigeria and their beneficiaries should do everything to salvage Nigeria from chaotic disintegration because  we know that all their effort to save Nigeria will amount to nothing. Nigeria must fall either in peace or in pieces. 

“The earlier the Nigerian government releases Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and negotiates a peaceful desolution of Nigeria, the better. But in the event that the Nigerian government eliminates our leader, Nigeria will not only violently disintegrate, but the perpetrators and their families will also be eliminated in revenge.
